Sunday Adventure & the Mundane

(Edited)

We had a little adventure yesterday. Went for a spin some place a bit farther away and walked at the edges of a few fields too. But first, we attended mass. Although we're not very religious, we do feed our spiritual souls by going to the parish at least twice a month. I snapped this while the announcement was being made. It's funny how people do not want to sit by the front rows and most just want the back seats, some even go up to the balcony where the church choirs are.

Anyway, the husband was on the driver's seat so I was a senorita all throughout the trip. Taking photos and sighting things.

We stopped by one of the schools to take a look around but the gates were closed so we ended up having our snacks on the parking grounds and because there were a few people there, we were unable to take some shots.

We left the school after some 10-15 minutes and drove all the way up to the mountains. The husband wanted to check out what it's like there. He heard the fields are expansive in those areas so he was curious. When we arrived, we noticed that most of the farmlands are barren and yet to be planted.

We didn't go farther beyond the rugged road and we drove back, then stopped along one of the fields to have a little break and to have a look around. While the husband took a walk going up to the carrot plantation as he saw someone working, I stayed along the roadside where there were green grass and just walked along the edge of the empty field.

These are a few of the sights from there, the photos kind of taken in a rush, lol!

Also photographed some interesting grass that looked like it had grains.

And some berries too! These are edible ones but I didn't have the urge to pick them up.

We spent some 30 minutes there as the husband found someone he could talk to, lol! I had to send him a message that it was time to go haha! Needed to because I was thinking about mother and her meds. The old man was out somewhere and although Ahjay and her sister are home, they wouldn't know how to feed their granny.

This shot was his, the carrot had crack on it whilst it is still young.

Captured this on our way back down the mountains.

On arriving home, I had to prep meals for mom and after which, the husband and I had our lunch too. Also did some cleaning at mother's house afterwards.

And we've got a guest, snoozing on a sack of sand out the yard.😅

It's been a great day which might do a repeat sometime soon probably elsewhere too!

What a lovely location with so much greenery. Is it a mountain area?
