A Quick Run and Our Kind of A Lazy Day

We had a friendly weather yesterday, not much sunshine as I preferred it to be but at least, it wasn't that cold too so it's all good. We drove downtown for a quick run and to attend mass. As always, I can't help taking photos of everything I see along the way.

Even this century-old equipment wasn't spared from my point-and-shoot style. Our road is getting a facelift kinda. They're doing some widening thingy so it's quite messy but that's the price we pay to have a better one.

At least our taxes are being put to good use, lol!

And true enough, “between every two pines is a doorway to a new world,” as John Muir said. We got a glimpse of the valley in between these trees by the roadside.

Another sight seen as we drove down. Can't get tired of taking photos of this spot even when we pass by it many times over. Although I may not be able to notice small details at the moment they are photographed, there is always something different each time.

We were too late for the mass so we ended up not getting in. We drove past the church and went to look for something to eat. Most groceries are closed, it's Sunday after all. But we did find a small one where we bought water and a box of Kutchinta (sticky brown rice cakes.

After snacking on them, we drove farther to fill the tank. Next was to check if our favorite fruit store is open. Unfortunately, it was closed too. It is nice though, at least business people around here know how to take a break during Sundays.

We ended up driving back home sooner than planned and had a real lazy day that Hiving was put aside. Well, not totally as I can't really stay out of this blockchain even just for a day.

Around mid-day, I did a yard walk which I often do as of late. Took this shot of the young passion fruit and shared it on threads.

The hubby was on his guitar for an hour or so. Then he played poker and when he got bored, we resorted to watching Mulan (again). Time seems to have flown by quickly and before we realized, it was evening. I was in the mood to do laundry so I did it at once before the ugly head of Mr P (procrastination) came around, lol! The husband on the other hand took care of dinner.

Internet was really bad around 8 pm so I took the chance to hang the laundry after a few spins. That is one thing that I can't postpone or I will need to iron them afterwards which isn't my favorite thing to do, lol!

Anyhow, this was supposed to be posted last night but I was feeling exhausted so I gave in to sleeping right after we re-watched John Wick 3. Our lazy day had been great!

Meanwhile, I found out that something had put a nasty hole on one of the eggplants which we are yet to enjoy. So I spent some time wrapping the rest with cellophane before that something get to them.😅

Might share more about that on another day.

Until then, it's super time!

These are very nice pictures! Interesting to see a bit of your life. Sorry to hear about the eggplant.

You live in a beautiful place. Is the first photo a field of some kind?
