My Actifit Report Card: April 7 2023

Hello Actifitters!

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you guys are doing well. Me, I'm doing great. Why you ask? Because I started my day with a hot milk chocolate drink. What better way to start the day right?

It's actually a sikwate, a traditional hot chocolate drink in the Philippines made from pure cacao tablea or tablets, dissolved in hot water and sometimes mixed with sugar or condensed milk. But, I used fresh milk instead of water, and I didn't add condensed milk because I like it a little bitter, not sweet.

Anyway, right after work, I was able to do my Friday routine workout. I started with a 10-minute warm up with some light bicep curls and tricep push-downs using resistance bands, light enough just to stimulate blood flow and not tire the muscles. After that, I stretched my wrist and did some wrist rotations. Lastly, I did some leg stretches since I'll be doing leg exercises.

For the main workout, I started with pike push-ups, for 3 sets of 11 reps. Next, I moved on to burpees with one count push-up. I did 3 sets of 10 reps, I almost wasn't able to complete the 10 rep on the last set here. I didn't expect the addition of push-up has that impact on the exercise.

I didn't do push-up that target my triceps today. Instead, I did a seated L-Sit elevations with 3 sets of 10 reps. I wanted to start improve my core with this exercise.

After that, I moved on to jumping squats. I did 3 sets of 15 reps. I then did 3 sets of negative pull-ups. I only did 8 reps on the negative pull-ups today, but I tried to prolong the descent as much as I could. Finally, I finished off with 3 sets of mountain climbers, with 30 reps on the first two sets, then 40 reps on the last set.

The workout took me more than 1 hour. I was able to burn 549 KCal with today's workout.

After the workout, I spent 10 minutes stretching and cooling down before I took a bath.
