Scientific review, Eating protein helps burn fat




Eating protein helps burn fat, which is the most important macronutrient when looking to lose fat. Eating more protein can help us fight hunger and increase levels of satiety hormones.


Studies have shown that protein can also help speed up our metabolism, which in turn promotes weight loss and visceral fat loss, and to increase protein intake the idea is to add some extra serving of protein to all your meals. That is, do not eat a single large meal because that will not be effective, since our body has a certain capacity to assimilate amounts of protein, therefore, if you eat a whole chicken you will not take advantage of all the proteins, On the other hand, if you eat different portions during the day, you will benefit much more.


Some good sources of protein are lean meats, fish, eggs, dairy products, legumes and whey protein.

Thanks for sharing the study. Actually reminded me to eat more protein. We just talked about this the other day after my sis got great results in a carnivore diet. I was hoping I could do the same for myself, but I needed more research. Your post helped condense some ideas I could have seen elsewhere!
