Los venezolanos hicieron lo que muchos esperaban de los dominicanos, mostraron un sólido picheo, tanto abridor como de relevo, el bateo oportuno fue la clave, tanto así que lograron hacer 5 carreras y solo permitieron una sola, pese a un comienzo incierto del abridor zurdo, Martín Pérez, que en el mismo primer episodio recibió sencillo de Julio Rodríguez y doble de Juan Soto, pero despues de eso se recuperó y despues de ese primer capítulo mostró un mejor control y dominio ante los bates de sus rivales, luego el picheo de relevo estuvo intratable, no dio mayores libertades, los bates de Anthony Santander y de David Peralta fueron muy oportunos, trayendo carreras después de dos outs en la pizarra.
