I woke up this morning and wanted to go back into Wellington City, it has been a long time. So as I was riding down the Summit I knew where I wanted to go, the Mt Victoria Reserve Lookout. It has been like 4 years since and it shows. I got lost LoL. The hill climb route I chose to get to the reserve was brutal as I kept taking wrong streets. Eventually I got there but it took a lot out of me.
The video is a compilation of 48sec clips of me cycling between Petone and Wellington (best viewed in 1080p). I just may get back into using the Sony FDR-X3000 for all my rides. All video editing using Linux Bash Scripting.

Oh, you got lost… I haven’t had an experience like that yet, but it must be a bit nerve‑racking. Very nice video.

Mt Victoria is a green belt zone on a large hilly suburban, area rising above Wellington City, with a large number of MTB tracks/courses. Usually during races these are well flagged out with the quiet streets being blocked of. So much different when there is no event. Leave a track hit a street and scratch head, don't remember this LoL. So I stick to the tracks with gravel, seems logical but what saved me was google maps :-)
I love the way you’ve added captions to the places you passed through. That gravel path by the Hutt River looks great, and the cycle lane on the road as well. What a joy to pedal with that sense of safety.
🤣 I sped up the video and suddenly saw the tree right in front of me… and I thought, oh careful, a tree!
I miss out a lot of footage because these videos can be too long, even for me. If it wasn't for the windy day, there would've been a lot more foot traffic on those first paths.
Also I unexpectedly met up with my brother and niece, pleasant surprise but wasted 45mins sipping coffee and talking about nothing important, instead of riding time LoL.
