Day 1 official cleaning frenzy. Eating a lot too!
Day 2 back in my hometown. After properly settled in the hotel with a good night sleep, the cleaning of the old ancestors' village house has started.
Not to mention that I found my super old ratan cane (Rotan) where I used it as a "warning shot" on the table to quiet the naughty class of mischief; where it also had its fair share of "adventures" with dad and our beloved house dog (now she's in Heaven) battling off snakes and 6 foot monitor lizards.
However, hard work was cut short when dad's cousin decided to pop by to visit and rewarded our tired bodies a plate of half-century traditional roast method duck and pork .
It was a welcoming break indeed!
During the evening my cousin who stayed in my hometown decided to treat us a CNY home cooked dinner with homemade "Yee Sang" Prosperity Salad toss (see pic 1) with other yummy home cooked dishes just to get together with her family members.
With all the calorie intakes, the next day need to be even more hard work to be ensure food is turned into fuel! 🤣
