Mid Autumn Festival is Coming!
Where lights and colourful decorations are everywhere again!
Due to so much work and hospital runs I hardly go to malls, and just so happened because I needed to get some office supplies. I get to visit one of the newer malls near my office
It's always a trend that since a month prior, there will be mooncake stalls selling their best versions of assorted mooncakes
But since I have a diabetic in the family, we all have to be careful with our choices.
Sadly, the "lesser sugar" versions are actually more expensive!
So my sister-in-law decided to make her own instead of paying through our nose for a cake.
Especially my mom has been unwell and unable to produce this yearly desserts for family and friends.
Nevertheless, God is still good!
My department received these as a thank you gesture from my bosses! So blessed that HE still provides the wants besides the needs.
These sort of sweet dessert is best paired with Chinese sugarless tea either Woolong / Oolong, Green tea, and any other black tea without sugar will help balance the sweetness and cut down the oil.
You can technically have it with Americano (sugarless) but Mandarin speaking / Chinese dialet community would still prefer the good old fashion tea.
