Really.... maintaining a new car is exactly like taking care of a kid.

But the only difference is that the "ROI" is quicker for a car, while a kid probably would be able to see the fruitfulness at least 2 decades ahead, and that's not even an "ROI" per say. 😅

I digress!

Let's come back to the main topic.

So after a year, finally this big girl requires some thorough checkup, and this time it does require a bit more time to wait.

Fortunately there's actually some really nice high desk and chair with chargers where I can resume work while waiting.

Who can resist the FREE Malaysian National food pack, Nasi Lemak, despite it was served first thing in the morning? 😅

(Little did I know I actually need it because there's a lot of walking needed)

Besides the usual oil change, the recent haze attack has really rested the air filters even for the car! Just a short 3 months it was already considered black!

Not to mention the potholes in the city has really caused my car's wheel alignment and balancing totally tuned out!

One thing bad about hazy daytime and drizzling night time is that the car is coated with horrible layer of dust / debris!

No matter how many times I tried to just wipe it off (when there's no time for property shower of the car) the acid rain caused by this pollution is going to damage the coating sooner than later.

I think @iamjadeline might feel the same as we had our new cars a few months apart; only mine is worse because mine is white (more obvious damage)

So no doubt it is super painful on my wallet 💸 a wax coating has to be placed to protect the body of the car besides retaining the colour.

Just this round it has caused me $160 USD 🫠

That is MORE than MYR 600 ....

Moreover... my car is no longer a tiny hatchback but a sedan 😫 and the expenses is worse...

This is actually better on the long run, besides, this big girl deserves some pampering after faithfully serving the whole family, jamming hundreds of miles from work and hospital runs, however in 6 months time it is going to be major because the tyres will need to be changed, along with a few more parts that needs to be replaced too.

It was estimated around $250 USD ... 🥲
And I still have its loan and mortgage to serve.

I really can't procrastinate.... and I hope in future I will have more interesting things to share besides just whining how expensive maintaining convenience and keeping the family alive has become.

All in all I am still grateful that I have hive ecosystem to help me have a bit of Emergency fund to spare, and just today itself I managed to dig some savings from HIVE and other blockchain to pay additional bills like insurance due.

However, things seemed to be getting worse, I just lost everything in a 2nd attack on a forex broker that lost 86% of my investment. 😫

There goes my investment....

I should stick to honest living: ny day job and keep sharing good stuffs on HIVE. 🫠
