Heya Hiva,

Ready or not.. here I come!

What can I do to brighten up the world around me? A good question worthy of a meandering about. My footsteps today took me to the bird baths - which I'll be honest.. didn't look very inviting. With the recent wet season, I haven't frequented the outdoors as often.. the end result being leaves stagnating in old rainwater.

So if I'm to make a substantive difference in this particular situation, then I should think like a bird. As a bird, I would not like to swim in anything this nasty. Ah yes, getting rid of the previous contents seems to have proven to be a very worthwhile endeavour indeed!

Of course, that was only a start and not the end - a point from whence I had to proceed. Fast forward to the end, and I can tell you that I thoroughly cleaned each one with a firm bristled scrubbing brush. Then after adding fresh water, I thought I'd also leave a little treat for the precious little miracles of nature. I reckon the birds will be rather pleased - 'mission accomplished', steps met.
