Heya Hiva,

Ready or not.. here I come!

We shouldn't need to be asked to render assistance to those we care for, before we kindly give of our time. For the last few days, I've planned to do just that, by helping to mow the lawn. With all the recent rains, it's been quite a challenge to both keep up with the growth, and find a suitable gap in the weather to tackle it. Though, I'm pleased to inform that the lawn looks rather splendid after receiving today, the attention which it so deserved.. I thought I'd shift the focus instead to the topic of 'weeds'. After being greeted by this big fella earlier on, I was reminded of just how fast they can take hold.

Much like the toxic aspects of our daily lives, weeds need to be tackled by the root cause - in this case by its roots. Sure, mowing the lawn may conceal it for a time.. but before long, the problem will have spread and become worse. It was on that note, that while I pondered on the aspects of my life which required some attention; I also got to work on removing every weed I could get to - and I found quite a few. The key to removing them in their entirety, is to take ones time and dig deep. I'm speaking bout the weeds of course ;)

It's often when we do such satisfying work, that our senses seem more heightened. Fresh air, gardening, and pondering deeply upon some of life's most profound aspects. Look who came to day hello. Some who actively follow my posts, may recall this remarkable creature - who evidently gets around and brings me much joy in the process! There's so much to this life ladies and gents - one which I'm still trying to figure out. Look at that, steps met.

Seeking peace,

ma3str0

Ready or not, here I respond. Might have something to do with I just finished pulling some weeds out front but that was a cool read. I would've had a tough time not putting the bug on the cover.

Lmao.. haha thanks my good friend - glad you enjoyed it! Hope you had just as much fun as I did.. it's always a treat to play outdoors.

That locust is dope, right! He/she is such a gentle creature and has lived here, literally for years. An old friend which puts a smile on my face whenever we meet. Worthy of the cover for sure!.. though it's also kinda cool that the reader gets to be just as surprised as I was :)

Interesting, how many years you reckon? I'd say not that many as the Dictyophorus spumans has a life span of under two years.

Hi mate.. I'm by no means an expert on the subject matter - I just marvel at nature. To your point though.. following my emotional breakdown, I moved in with my folks. I've been here for around 5+ years now I think (at their home), and I definitely recall there being sightings for a few of them. I would say atleast 3 if I were to be honest. I know that, cause it's brought me so much comfort and peace while I've been so lost.

If what you say is true, then I feel both happy and sad for this one. He/she seems very tired from the torments of this life, much like me. The yard here is very leafy and sheltered, so I don't know if that may have contributed to a longer than usual lifespan perhaps (safer from predators with the shelter, plenty food etc.)? I do know that the family are very kind and gentle, being very careful around him/her at all times. Just this week, we were all waiting to pass the little one for a couple of minutes. Come to think about it, he/she's always been that way though.. very slow in terms of movement.

I guess another possibility is that there's been more than one living here, without us even realizing? But it's a very small yard, and I've never seen two at once - though I guess that can't be ruled out. Though I appreciate your visit @galenkp, I'm also not sure whether anything else may have been implied by your statement? I'm more tired than people realize.. I have no reason to intentionally exaggerate. I choose to be real in my final chapters of life - much like the remarkable little miracle, which I've been blessed to become acquainted with.
