Exercising in the kitchen?My Actifit Report Card: Sept 17 2025 (Eng/Spa)
I am a woman who does many activities during the day, and that was the perfect excuse to say I didn't have time to exercise.
But I have proven to myself that I was wrong, and that even though it's not formal exercise, getting my body moving is already an achievement in forming the habit I lost many years ago.
Watching the program Kilos Mortales (something I do not out of morbid curiosity, but to try to understand how an event in the past can condemn us in the future), I notice how the routines they recommend are quite simple, given that with so much excess weight, you can't start with the exercises we all know.
And so, while I was peeling potatoes and making a sauce with some tomatoes that I rescued from the trash, I said to myself, why not add a little movement to this moment? And that's how I started moving like a pendulum, doing backward lunges and different exercises without neglecting my meal.
After finishing, I searched YouTube for an abdominal routine that I could do standing up, completing only half of the video, as I had already done a long improvised warm-up.

Entrenar en ¿la cocina?
Soy una mujer que hace muchas actividades durante el día, y esa era la excusa perfecta para decir que no tenía tiempo para entrenar.
Pero yo misma me he demostrado que estaba equivocada, y que aunque no es un entrenamiento formal, el poner mi cuerpo en movimiento ya es un logro para ir fomando el hábito que perdí hace muchos años.
Viendo el programa Kilos Mortales (algo que hago no por morbo, sino para tratar de entender el cómo un hecho del pasado puede condenarnos en el futuro) noto como las rutinas que les recomiendan son bastante simples, dado que ante tanto exceso de peso, no se puede empezar con los ejercicios que conocemos todos.
Y fue así como mientras pelaba papas y hacía una salsa con unos tomates que rescaté de ser tirados la basura, me dije a mi misma, ¿por qué no ponerle un poco de movimiento a este momento? Y fue así como empecé a moverme cual péndulo, haciendo zancadas hacia atrás y diferentes ejercicios sin necesidad de descuidar la comida.
Ya luego de terminar, busqué por youtube una rutina para abdomen que pudiera hacer de pie, completando solo la mitad del video, pues ya había hecho un largo calentamiento de manera improvisada.
