It's difficult to want a change that depends on other people, although not impossible. Today I set myself the task of starting to look for a new job, and the reality of being dismissed because of my age and my academic qualifications hit me in the face.

At almost half a century old, potential employers consider you “too old,” and knowing a lot is not valued in a market that is more consumer-oriented than producer-oriented.

It was a day of walking a lot, looking for an opportunity to do “anything” to break the cycle, but being the first day of this exercise, even though I didn't manage to get a new job, it helped me to rule out certain options, as well as to reach 10K again on the app.

Buscando un nuevo empleo

Es difícil querer un cambio que dependa de otras personas, aunque no imposible. Hoy me di la tarea de empezar a buscar un nuevo empleo, y la realidad de ser desestimada por la edad y por mi grado académico me explotó en la cara.

Ya con casi medio siglo, los posibles empleadores te toman como "muy viejo" y el saber mucho es poco valorado en un mercado que es más de consumo que productor.

Fue un día de caminar mucho, buscando una oportunidad de hacer "lo que sea" con tal de romper el ciclo, pero siendo el primer día de este ejercicio, aunque no logré obtener un nuevo empleo, me sirvió para ir descartando ciertas opciones, además de volver a lograr 10K en la app.
