People say it all depends on the lens through which you view things, and in my case, there are no gray areas: it’s either black or white.

I always said that anyone who wasn’t for me was against me, but now I’ve added a third option: if they’re neither for nor against me, I simply don’t care about them, or they don’t exist to me.

And that’s exactly what’s happened at home in situations I never thought would arise. My oldest son stopped mattering to me, just like my cat, who only came around for food and water.

It’s a strange process, because I love them both, but I value my peace of mind more.

Dicen que todo depende de la perspectiva desde la que se vean las cosas y, en mi caso, no hay zonas grises: o es blanco o es negro.

Siempre he dicho que quien no está a mi favor está en mi contra, pero ahora he añadido una tercera opción: si no están ni a mi favor ni en mi contra, simplemente no me importan, o es como si no existieran para mí.

Y eso es exactamente lo que ha pasado en casa, en situaciones que nunca pensé que se darían. Mi hijo mayor dejó de importarme, igual que mi gato, que solo se acercaba por comida y agua.

Es un proceso extraño, porque los quiero a los dos, pero valoro más mi tranquilidad.
