Just to keep the momentum - Night Run

I just finished a 6.505km running that lasted about 0hh:30mm:1ss !

After a somewhat lazy day-off, I was not really motivated to go for a run in this heat. Even after 9pm, still around 89F (or close to 32 degrees Celsius), this is hot! And even if the humidity was slightly lower than a couple of weeks ago, it was still quite high. But, as it's supposed to get even hotter tomorrow, possibly bringing some storms, I had to run anyways if I wanted to keep the July momentum going. So I decided to go for a short one, and I ended up running just half an hour, for a total of 4 miles.

I chose going West again after the forest, I guess it's become my preferred route for short runs. The last mile was very difficult for me, but I'm glad I managed to keep it together and maintain pretty much the same pace. With an average at 7:26 min/mile, this is once again a bit slow for this short distance. But it'll get better once I finally get more used to this heat.

Saw a couple of deer on the way, including one which clearly was wondering what the hell I was. I also ran past that German Shepherd dog that scared me a few days ago. That poor dog was tied outside again in front of an apartment, and apparently very scared by the fireworks still going on for the 4th of July celebrations. If that dog stays out all day in this heat, that's a bit concerning. After our walks, my dogs like to go inside and enjoy the A/C.

I hope I don't jinx it, but I'm hoping I can go for another run tomorrow before the storms start. I usually don't run two days in a row, and it will be very hot, but a short run similar to today would be perfect. We will see if I can make it happen.

Till then, keep Exhausting!
