Slow and Steady - Night Run

I just finished a 9.4km running that lasted about 0hh:46mm:0ss !

Heat and humidity are definitely back around here, and that didn't help getting motivated for a run today. But once again, I decided it was a good idea to rack up some miles when possible, because tomorrow might be rainy and stormy again. Like I already said, the woods are not an option for now, because of the mosquitoes. So I just followed the edge of the forest first and stayed on the asphalt but I tried to change it up a little bit and run along some of the streets I usually don't go to. Same scenery but that changes things a bit.

Right from the beginning, I knew that wouldn't be a fast run, so I forced myself to start slower than usual again, and I just tried to keep the pace as uniform as possible. As can be seen on the mile splits, it was indeed quite consistent, albeit slow. But with almost 6 miles in the end, it's not bad and I'm happy with this run.

After about 3 miles or so, part of my lip started to get numb. That worried me a bit but I could finish the run with no more problem, and it got better after I got home. Since I got swarmed by bugs a few time, I hope it was just a bug bite. I tried and checked for ticks as well as I could and didn't find anything, so... We'll see if that happens again.

That run brings my total for this month to 79km. Just half way through the month, this is definitely ahead of schedule to reach 120km. I hope I can keep that trend.

Keep Exhausting!
