Hoy les vengo a hablar de uno de los jugadores que alguna vez me ilusionó muchísimo, al verlo de niño simplemente me hacía emocionarme al grado de que en cada juego de FIFA o Pro Evolution Soccer tenía que tener a este jugador en las filas de mi equipo, por su calidad con el balón y su rapidez. Así, hablamos de Andrei Arshavin, el mago ruso que alguna vez deslumbró a muchos aficionados y clubes de europeos.

Es normal que años tras año salga un futbolista joven que llene de asombro a los clubes y sus aficionados, dónde comienzan a ser deseados por los mismos y resultan ser todo lo contrario de lo que realmente esperaban. El caso de Andrei Arshavin no fué diferente, ya que su gancho al fichar por un gigante como el Arsenal fueron esas temporadas entre 2007-2008 con el Zenit levantando la UEFA Europa League, y con la selección Rusa en la eurocopa donde se consagró la Roja Española, destacando entre los mejores jugadores del torneo consiguiendo el 3er puesto en esa competición con su seleccionado.

Pero estos pasos fueron más resaltados por polémicas que por sus goles y magia, ya que estaba en el ojo de la prensa por muchos comentarios machistas y misóginos, así como sus constantes encontronazos con el alcoholismo, entre ellas robándose un caballo en estado de ebriedad, haciendo así que el ídolo de muchos tuviese una cara diferente. Su retiro sería en el año 2018, en la liga de Kazajistán y pese a estar entre polémicas, pertenece al staff del equipo de sus amores, siendo el director deportivo del Zenit.
