El día de hoy se llevó a cabo el "Final Four" de la Kings League, este divertido y entretenido torneo de fútbol 7 con un gran cambio de ciertas reglas, las cuales le dan más vistosidad a este hermoso deporte y más que nada que hace más atractivo para así diferenciar con otras grandes ligas de fútbol en todo el mundo.


Cómo todos sabemos la Kings League es un torneo precedido por el exfutbolista Gerard Piqué, un torneo que se fundó en diciembre del pasado año y que atrajo a creadores de contenido tanto en Twitch, YouTube y TikTok para que sean los presidentes de una serie de equipos (12 equipos en total) conformados por exfutbolistas o jugadores amateurs; cada jornada que se lleva a cabo los días domingos, ocurrirán seis encuentros los cuales siempre deberá haber un ganador y un perdedor porque no está contemplado el empate; dependiendo del número de victorias, los equipos estarán en diferentes posiciones en la tabla clasificatoria y así los que estén más arriba podrán ser parte de primeramente cuartos de final para después ser parte del gran Final Four, que se divide en semifinales y posteriormente la gran final; un mini torneo que se llevaría a cabo nada más y nada menos que en el Spotify Camp Nou, casa del FC Barcelona.

Un torneo corto el cual comenzó a disputarse en mes de enero, empezó a levantar el interés de muchos aficionados, sin importar la edad o género y eso fue debido a lo atrayente de su contenido; por ejemplo contar con personalidades como muchos streamers, Youtubers y demás, fue una idea genial para atraer a un público juvenil que justamente y según estadísticas se aleja de seguir cada fin de semana diferentes torneos como por ejemplo La Liga de España y es que para ejemplo está la comparativa que se hizo entre una jornada de la Kings League contra partidos entre clubes españoles donde este nuevo torneo superó por mucho la cantidad de personas que prefirió ver la competencia liderada por Piqué; desde ese momento creo que fue evidente el alcance que tuvo está idea y en dónde la cual atrajo a muchas más personas por diferentes cosas como por ejemplo la invitación de exjugadores la cual debo nombrar a la participación de Ronaldinho, Saviola, Casillas y el Kun Aguero, ambos presidentes de sus respectivos equipos, pero hubo otra cosa más y fue la rivalidad entre cada uno de los presidentes que dio una gran similitud a Reality Show y creo que eso terminó de catapultar está idea; claro está que sumo el gran uso de las redes sociales y la facilidad para ver los juegos que en mi opinión fue lo mejor idea para promocionar a la Kings League.

Ahora, es momento de referirme al importante suceso que ocurrió en Barcelona hoy; digo importante porque en mi opinión se ha superado las expectativas que se tenía cuando hace un mes se anunció que el Spotify Camp Nou albergaría la final de la KL. Para el momento de disputarse la primera semifinal entre los equipos "El Barrio" y "Saiyans FC", en el estadio había más de 92 mil personas, un lleno total y recordemos que en esta temporada el FC Barcelona pudo alcanzar esa cantidad de personas en su estadio cuando el pasado fin de semana enfrentó a su clásico rival, el Real Madrid; otra gran noticia para este torneo fue la cantidad de personas que vieron el Final Four tanto por Twitch cómo por Youtube, la cual tuvo un promedio de dos millones de personas y eso sin contar lo que quisieron ver estos tres juegos por el Live de TikTok; con esto ya es evidente la fama o lo atrayente del torneo el cual se vivió como una gran competencia por parte de sus aficionados los cuales disfrutaron como nunca de esta primera final de la Kings League y solo quedaba para que los equipos dieron todo para realizar un gran espectáculo que estuviera a la altura de las personas que los veían, tanto en el estadio como en sus hogares.

Los equipos "El Barrio", "Saiyans FC", "Los Troncos FC" y "Aniquiladores FC", se disputaron su pase para la gran final; primeramente El Barrio tuvo un parejo encuentro contra Saiyans el cual terminó con un resultado favorable para el Barrio precedido por Javi Contreras, por un marcador de 4 a 3; sin ninguna duda un partido muy emocionante dónde un favorito como era Saiyans FC de TheGrefg, dio todo para alcanzar la final, pero sorpresivamente así como ocurrió en cuartos de final, El Barrio daría un importante paso más para ganar el campeonato; por parte de la otra semifinal que se decidió por los "Penalty Shootout", también demostró una igualdad evidente entre los dos equipos y es que se tuvo que llegar a La Muerte Súbita para conseguir a otro finalista y es donde el equipo liderado por Juan Guarnizo cómo presidente, Los Aniquiladores, ganaban a los Troncos de Perxitaa; en mi opinión los dos juegos de semifinales aumentaron la emoción que se vivía en el Camp Nou y nos preparaba para la gran final.

Posiblemente, la final que realizó "El Barrio" de Adri Contreras como presidente y de Juan Arroita como DT, es de lo mejor; creo que fue el equipo mejor preparado física y mentalmente para disputar los últimos tres encuentros para proclamarse campeón de la primera edición de la Kings League; este equipo jugó de una manera muy inteligente la cual supo defender con un compacto bloque de 4 defensores y dejaba a tan solo dos para ayudar a la presión, a esto tenía una salida sumamente rápida la cual les creó muchas oportunidades para aumentar el marcador aunque los dos goles conseguidos en tan solo 9 minutos fue suficiente para controlar el juego y tan solo en un contraataque letal cerraron la final para así proclamarse cómo campeones de la Kings League; creo que los últimos tres juegos de El Barrio fueron los mejores que vi en toda la competición, una idea y actitud muy alta que hizo ver pequeños y cansados a sus rivales. Personalmente, me agradó ver al equipo de El Barrio ganar esta primera edición de la KL y por eso decidí llamar a esta publicación "Underdog King" porque eso representa a este equipo el cual lo lidera un joven que hace contenido en TikTok y no se puede comparar con otros presidentes en este torneo, tengo entendido que no tuvo un apoyo de grandes patrocinios y creo que eso hace más valiosa la victoria, pero no solo a él y su equipo me refiero en el término de "Underdog" sino también a este torneo que apareció de la nada y reunió a una gran cantidad de personas que disfrutaron por varias semanas de esta idea dentro del fútbol y eso es genial, sé que es imposible llamar o creer que Piqué no estaría preparado para alcanzar todo lo que han hecho, pero cuando subestimas una idea sabes que está la posibilidad de quedar en ridículo y eso ha sucedido en esta primera edición la cual ahora traerá una gran presión porque es obligatorio superar lo ya hecho y no hay duda de que está es la gran prueba para la Kings League.

Personally, I was pleased to see El Barrio team win this first edition of the KL and that's why I decided to call this publication "Underdog King" because that represents this team which is led by a young man who makes content in TikTok and can not be compared to other presidents in this tournament, I understand that he had no support from big sponsorships and I think that makes the victory more valuable, but not only to him and his team I mean in the term "Underdog" but also to this tournament that appeared out of nowhere and gathered a lot of people who enjoyed for several weeks of this idea within soccer and that's great, I know it is impossible to call or believe that Piqué would not be prepared to achieve everything they have done, but when you underestimate an idea you know that there is the possibility of being ridiculed and that has happened in this first edition which now will bring great pressure because it is mandatory to overcome what has already been done and there is no doubt that this is the big test for the Kings League.
