@ne9en just finished a 51.87km ride, that lasted for 138 minutes. This ride helped ne9en burn 1219.0 calories.

Description from Strava: First time visiting the mtb trail, the legal way as I now bought the permit for 2026.

To be honest I didn't have high expectations and thought it could never be close to the trails I rode while on holiday in the woods but I had a lot of fun, some parts are fast and flowy while others are more technical with rollers and banked corners, a good workout for sure!

There was a gravel event going on so there were a lot of bikers on the trail which was fun to see how popular the sport is in my country, I've never seen so many mtb'rs in a day.

The soil is different than in the woods, for drainage a lot of the trails are made with gravel as the top layer and even now the ground was pretty wet I could feel my front tire losing it's grip every now and then, I love sliding around a bit but I can imagine this is far more in dry conditions in the summer, I will have to find out 😀

Drawback of a nice mtb ride is, mud is literally everywhere 😅 so after a shower I needed to hose off the bike, shoes and backpack.

The weather today was great, it was cold but a clear blue sky with 3 to 5 degrees but riding on the trail was pretty intense so I had to stop to put my balaclava in my backpack, too hot! It's much different than a road ride!
