Early and Heavy - My Actifit Report Card: July 2 2025
I unexpectedly had issues sleeping last night as it seems that the time zone shifts, jet lag and a busy work day have interrupted my routines. I was up before my alarm went off and took my time with my coffee as I prepared for the gym. I was there right after dawn to focus on myself before a work day. It was tough as I had an early start at work but I still focused on my workout.
I decided to go heavy with some 5x5 exercises with a full body focus. I started all my lifts with higher weight than when I left a month ago as I feel I did good with kilograms on pushing things higher. I was surprised how well I felt at all the weights. I never got to failure but know it was because of my lower reps. However, it is likely that these will be my new baseline lifts going forward which has me happy. I was so happy that I treated myself with a half hour at the Spa before rushing off to work!
