Lifting before Madness - My Actifit Report Card: February 11 2026

Getting to sleep early last night helped prepare me for an early wake up. It was needed as my schedule was jammed packed today with meetings, traffic expected, and events. I found myself at the gym before dawn and after a good warm up on the treadmill, I worked on some weight lifting. It focused on hitting the upper body as my lower body was still recovering from the session earlier this week and the long run from yesterday.

Surprisingly, I struggled from the get go which was concerning. I did not let that lower my weight but did leave the workout at half hour by limiting some exercises. I had a long day ahead so did not want to crash and burn with my commitments ahead. It was a good idea as I felt the fatigue impact my mental strength as well as I went through the day. Ended downtown for a social event which I kept short to head home for some recovery and rest. I think a break is in the cards later this week which aligns with some medical items I need to get done anyway.
