Troubling Failure - My Actifit Report Card: May 5 2026

I saw an opportunity this morning to go out for a long run as the temperature was a bit lower than the past couple of days. I prepared well to give it a go but quickly realized that I was wrong on a couple things. First, the humidity made it a pretty bad choice to try the long run. I quickly got into a sweat that made the jog quite uncomfortable. I also thought that I had the stamina to endure the long run when I could barely achieve a 5K.

I struggled to get to the 5K and the pace was awful. I pushed myself there despite the pain and decided to walk the rest of the way. It was rough to walk back with the failure on my shoulders as I could not believe how bad I felt. I got home for a shower to start my work day which also went horrible as I could not recover from the workout. I had to cancel a meeting to lay down for a bit while I recovered. Definitely a troubling sign that I need to deal with.
