My Actifit Report Card: January 11 2026

We walked from our village to the next yesterday. They’re not far apart but there is space in between, a set of meadows and a high ridge. You’ve probably seen one of these views before where we can see across the top of Reading a couple of miles away. We are simply separated by the M4 motorway, keeping the urban away from our rural home.

The frozen pond one that had recently, thankfully been restored. It had been covered by overgrown bushes and some rubbish sadly. A far cry from the one I remembered from my childhood when we used to go looking for tadpoles and newts. Will take a look in spring with the grandkids!

Saw our first primroses, which is rather early.

The old school looked great with some light poised on its bell tower.

I’ve got some more photos to share from today’s visit to The Vyne, our nearest National trust property. Had cake and a cup of tea, followed by a wonderful walk around the house.
