My Actifit Report Card: January 2 2024
Yeaterday unfortunately there was a tragic disaster where a train crashed and blocked the highway. This meant we weren't able to go the route we wanted to and instead we had to make a and a half hour detour. So we head down south rather than west towards the Murray River. I was fascinated by blue valves popping out of the ground every now and then.
I found out that this was an underground high pressure water pipeline to supply water from the Murray River to Broken Hill, about 250km away.
Nearby I couldn't believe my eyes we have been driving arid desert and here comes a lake. This lake is part of the darling River system the longest river in Australia.
We finally rea jed out first town, where we had an impromptu first stop at wentworth. This is where the Darling River meets the Murray River.
The next part of the drive we had to push on because it was 9 hours in total driving. As we came closer to our destination in South Australia, we saw lots of wind generators, no wonder South Australia famously needed Elon Musk's Tesla battery.
