Hola, querido hiver.

He dormido gracias a que tenemos en la habitación un ventilador de techo. Una vez que me quedo dormida, no me suelo despertar en toda la noche. Solo lo hago ante excepciones como algún ruido fuerte o que necesite ir al baño, pero lo normal es que duerma del tirón hasta la mañana.

Lo que sí me viene pasando este verano es que me despierto un rato antes de que me suene la alarma del despertador. No me preocupa porque me acuesto temprano y cumplo con las horas necesarias de descanso. Pero en días de calor como estos es abrir los ojos y empezar a sudar. Nos quedan aún tres o cuatro jornadas más, así que toca llenarse de paciencia y coger los días como llegan.

No hagas muchas cosas —dicen— si quieres vivir tranquilo. ¿No sería mejor decir: haz lo que sea necesario, lo que la razón por naturaleza exige y como exige que sea hecho? Este es el medio más seguro que podemos emplear para gozar de la tranquilidad, y no solamente de la que nos pueda procurar el cumplimiento de nuestros deberes, sino también de la que se disfruta haciendo pocas cosas a la vez.

Mi reflexión

El mensaje de hoy no encaja bien con la dinámica actual, en la que parece que hay que estar omnipresente y aprovechar cada segundo en realizar algo productivo. Para quienes estamos trabajando en la creación de contenidos, este es un reto incluso mayor, pues solemos utilizar para el ocio las mismas herramientas que para el trabajo.

Se hace necesario, entonces, preguntarnos cada cierto tiempo en qué nos sirve lo que hacemos, cuál es su verdadera utilidad, para desechar sin contemplaciones lo que no rinda y nos desvíe la atención de lo que sí.

Si paramos a pensar aprovecharemos mucho mejor nuestro tiempo y energía. No es cuestión de hacer más, sino de hacer mejor. Apenas unos minutos diarios pueden obrar milagros, siempre y cuando seamos constantes e implacables. En eso consiste nuestra verdadera fortaleza.

Por la mañana: compras y labores domésticas, curación de contenidos, escritura.

Por la tarde: asistencia a eventos en Discord, curación de contenidos, voy con mi marido de compras, paseo con el perrito.

Hi, dear hiver.

I slept because we have a ceiling fan in the room. Once I fall asleep, I don't usually wake up all night. I only wake up when there are exceptions such as a loud noise or when I need to go to the bathroom, but I usually sleep straight through until morning.

What has been happening to me this summer is that I wake up a while before the alarm clock goes off. It doesn't worry me because I go to bed early and get the necessary hours of rest. But on hot days like these I open my eyes and start sweating. We still have three or four more days to go, so it's time to be patient and take the days as they come.

My reflection

Today's message does not fit well with today's dynamics, in which it seems that we have to be omnipresent and use every second to do something productive. For those of us working in content creation, this is an even greater challenge, as we tend to use the same tools for leisure as we do for work.

It becomes necessary, then, to ask ourselves from time to time how what we do serves us, what its true usefulness is, in order to unceremoniously discard what does not work and diverts our attention from what does.

If we stop to think, we will make much better use of our time and energy. It is not a question of doing more, but of doing better. Just a few minutes a day can work miracles, as long as we are consistent and relentless. That is our true strength.

Afternoon: attending events on Discord, content curation, going shopping with my husband, walking the dog.

I know that feeling when you go straight sweating after just opening your eyes because of the hot weather.
some a little inconvenience things living in tropical climate. : )
But I am happy that you also could have a good rest.

I don't care about the heat during the day, as long as you can rest at night. It's summer and it's normal. Maybe now we are more overwhelmed because we have refrigeration in the houses, we have become more delicate. 😂
