We are now focusing on African players who wrote their names in Spanish football history books.

**Valmiro Lopez Rocha **

He was born in Cape verde and mostly operated as a winger and scored 34 goals in la Liga.

He started out with real Madrid B but was sent on loan to osasuna, Osasuna made permanent after impressing, He also played for levante, espanyol and malaga.

Yousuff el Arabi

He was born in Morocco and operated as a striker where he scored 43 goals for Granada in la Liga.

He is now featuring for olympiacos but also played for caen, Al hilah and al duhail while scoring 235 goals in the process.

His 2015-16 Granada season in which he scored a career best of goals to save the club from relegation made him an andalusian legend.

Christopher ohen

He was born in Nigeria and played as a striker while scoring 42 la Liga goals.

He spent the vast majority of his career playing for compostela, A club he helped achieve la Liga promotion and replicated his goalscoring form including 17 goals in 1996-97 season.

Frederick Kanoute

He started out playing for French club lyon and eventually move to west ham and Tottenham and Beijing guoan, His best years were with Sevilla.

He won the 2007 African footballer of the year.

He scored 89 goals in Liga and he netted 136 goals in 290 appearances for Sevilla while capturing 6 titles.

Samuel eto'o

One of the greatest strikers of his generation, He won the 2000 and 2022 African cup of nations and holds a record 4 African player of the year award, winning it in 2003,2004,2005 and 2010.

He featured for real Madrid, mallorca, Barcelona, inter Milan, Chelsea and Everton and became the first player to win back to back champions medals with two different clubs achieving it with Barcelona and inter Milan during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons respectively.

He scored a total of 162 goals in la Liga winning the la Liga,copa del rey, champions league and Golden boot.
