Another day of errands (Eng/Esp)

I went out to run some errands in the city center. My priorities were a calcium supplement for my daughter and some three-inch screws with gray ramplugs. I didn't think either of these things would be so difficult to find, but the calcium supplement was outrageously expensive, and most hardware stores didn't have what I was looking for.

Making decisions on the fly, I decided to start my journey on Mariño Street, visiting every pharmacy and hardware store there was, at least until the old Comedor Popular. The results were unsuccessful because, although I could find the medicine, the further I went, the more expensive the product became. So, I decided to go up Vargas Street and return via Bermúdez Avenue from the Crab Bay hardware store.

I thought about the pharmacies located on Blanco Fombona Street and walked there. By that point, I had been walking for about two hours. I was getting worried about the screws because I thought it would be a simple task, but I couldn't find them, even though that size is used to attach wooden door frames to walls.

When I didn't get any positive responses, I retraced my steps and, almost resigned, began my return journey. Opposite Ginan, I found a pharmacy that had calcium at a good price. I made a note of it and then decided to walk two more blocks to see if I would have better luck, but once I realized that wouldn't be the case, I had to go back to buy the product.

Something very peculiar happened to me with the screws and the batch of ramplugs, because at the last store where I asked, I was acting out of inertia rather than interest, but I did get them, and at a very good price. That's the risk you take when you do this kind of errand. If I decide to start down Bermúdez Avenue, I can get the screws at the first store, and this purchase was so cheap that I even had money left over for fruit for my daughter.
