I tell you short: the plan was to have a stop over of 1h in Munich and to continue with teh same company (SN Brussels Airlines but operated by Lufthansa) to Brussels.
Unfotuantely we had a big delay, and the other play did not wait for us (14 people). Fortunately we were with a German company and in Germany so this has been handled in a German way. We got water, sweets, taxis, hotel rooms and food AND we could choose between a couple of flights to proceed our trip the next morning. THANK YOU #Lufthansa!!! It could have been a lot worse when one hears horror stories from other Airlines... Knowing that I was travelling with my both kids since 3 o'clock in the morning.... Than a hotel bed from 1am to 5am the next morning before to continue to travel is really making the difference, as is the professionalism at the service desk.

Do you mean that the other plane (not play) did not wait for you? 🤔 I assume that the plane left earlier than the scheduled departure time instead of the 14 of you being late, and that the benefits given to you for the delay were given without any additional cost. 😅

I wonder when you would publish that as a post, especially since you are having a vacation right now. 🤔😏

No, the plane left already with a delay, but that delay wasn't long enough for us to be in time. The benefits were without an additional cost, fortunately... !PIZZA was not one of the options, since only Mc Donalds was open at this time of the evening. I was surprised about this, because MUC is a big airport with a lot of traffic (but it might have closed for traffic over night because of the nearby populated area. !CTP

I think that most commercial airplanes would not wait for late passengers, unless at least one of the passengers is a VIP. 😅 Even if you were late, it's good to know that you were still given free accommodation and another airplane ride by the airport management. 😄 Hope you won't be late again for the plane next time! 🤗

It's true, in the end it costs less to give all what they've been giving to 14 passengers (even though there were a lot more passengers for other connected flights which also have lost their connection) than to delay the plane waiting for them. Still it isn't fun when one doesn't arrive at the day one has planned to arrive :-( !PIZZA !CTP

If the airline company provides free accommodation to late passengers, maybe it might make more passengers less willing to be early for the plane. 🤔 Though I'm not saying that they should charge for the accommodation for the late passengers! 😅

They obviously only provide free accommodation when it's their fault that passengers are late....
And there's no fun at arriving in a hotel which you don't know in a place you don't know at 1 a.m. knowing that at 5h15 you're going to have to wake up again to catch a plane which you actually would have been catching in the evening... !CTP

You should have told on your comment that your delay in boarding the plane was their airline company's responsibility. 😅 The closest phrase that described your problem with the trip was Unfotuantely we had a big delay. 🤓
