With the Sun hanging low in the sky, Silvertop, Liz, and Jan, headed North into the Mountains!๐
Todayโs destination, was Westergreens tree forest!๐
If you remember from past hikes, Westergreen is a logger.
He owns thousands of acres on Sumas Mountain stretching North towards Canada.
These trails lead into very thick, very dark forestโฆโฆ
With a Cougar kill just yesterday, Silvertop thought it best to hike in a group of three people that he was sure he was able to outrun Lol !๐๐คฃ๐บ
Jan was finding Cougar โScatโ all along the ridge top as we hiked!๐ณ
โSilvertop, I think we are hiking in their bathroom!โ๐

Fall is in full swing at the higher elevations, and as Silvertop explored a secluded high mountain lake, @elizabethbit was snapping photographs of the thick frost that covered parts of the trails!๐ฅฐ
Apparently @actifit-lamb was snuggled in Lizโs bag, and jumped out to see what โCanadaโ was!โบ๏ธ
I hiked along the shoreline of this beautiful Mountain Lake, and suddenly hundreds of Ducks took flight!๐ฎ

Apparently so Lizโฆ..๐
Daylight is short this time, and it was time to trek back homeโฆโฆ
โNo Cougars today Silvertop!โ๐ฅฐ
None that WE saw Liz, Iโm sure they are watching us!๐บ

We were really cautious when we were hiking, I'm sure the cougar has a full stomach and could care less about us!๐๐

And they are both equally very dangerous in their own, right!๐ณ
Nothing stops a bear coming after you, and a cougar will hunt you secretively !๏ฟผ๐ผ
That's some really decent outdoors! Reminds me a lot of my summer house surroundings! Also 14k steps! Pretty good ๐๐
What's even nicer this is all just up the road from our home a short hike to these trails!๐
