steevc just finished a 10.84km run, that lasted for 67 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 786.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
We got an extra hour in bed as the clocks went back last night. We watched the rugby final, but I do not understand the rules. I played at school, but was not that into it.

It was cool out this morning, but dry. I did the usual loop. There was loads of mud up West Drive. I assume a tractor had been up there and it was hard to avoid treading in it. I can do without the extra weight on my shoes and it was a little slippery. I was looking out for Halloween displays around Fairfield, but there did not seem to be as many this year. I tried to take a photo of one, but it seems it did not get stored.

Once I got to Stotfold I took a different route that I have not done in a while. I need some variety in my routes. Back in Arlesey I took all the back roads. The car that burnt out last weekend has gone. I thought there would be more damage to the road than there was. Around the back of Chase Hill there were some slippery parts, but I stayed upright. I was about done by the time I got near home.

Since then I have been out in the garden. We are just finishing off the new chicken run that we started ages ago. I cleaned the chickens out. One of them is moulting a lot.

We have a lot of rats around here at the moment. I spotted that there was one in a big plant pot. It was alive, but there were three dead ones in there too. We are not sure how they got there, but the neighbour used his air rifle to finish off that live one. The cats get a few too. They have burrowed all under the chicken run, but we will dig that over once we move them into the new run.

Since I finished that work it has started raining, but I do not need to go out any more today.

The photo is the 'heat map' from Strava of where I have been. The brighter parts are where I go more often.

Enjoy your Sunday and run free.

10.8 km I a very long distance as far as I am concerned. I think it is about time I started challenging myself to do more.

I think many people could build up to running for an hour. It may just take a while to get there.

It is quite funny how I don't like to watch right but playing it is more fun
That's when I was in school though

It is a good thing that you have done an extra hour of walking today, it will improve your health even more.

Ah the rugby rules. When you have worked them out let me know as well.
!LOL
I find the kicking for touch frustrating, I just like it faster and more action.

My sister had serious problems with rats, they ruined her lovely garden full of flowers.
She doesn't like harming animals but she had to close the holes and such and I believe she got control of them in the end.
It all started when the cat got too old, now she's got two rescue dogs instead, they probably keep the situation in check.

Our rats have lots of tunnels. There are plenty of cats around here and they catch some. I've been trying to keep the rats from getting the chicken food. We have made some use of traps and poison to try and keep them under control. They do not seem to do much damage otherwise, but it looks like they have been in my compost bin. You have to admire their resourcefulness and determination.

They are clever and very trainable.
Like us, we are rats just on two legs.
Very similar in many ways. 😉

I’m impressed with your commitment to running. My knees hurt every time I see the distances you put up.

My knees are fine. I've been running for years, so I've built some tolerance.

That’s good to hear mine have taken a beating and I’d love to get back into running.
