Description from Strava:
As well as my very muddy parkrun I had a busy weekend. On Saturday night the swing band played at an 80th birthday party. It was an interesting evening as we also had morris dancers there. That was a late night, so I had a lie-in on Sunday, but still had things to do. We finished the shed over the solar battery and then I made a box to go over our drain with the spare wood as the condensate pipe from the boiler sometimes freezes in winter.

I have today off as I am going to a drumming masterclass with Todd Sucherman from Styx later. That meant I could have a run. Today started bright, but cold and frosty. I soon warmed up, but I found it hard work today. I think the efforts of the weekend drained my energy. I still got around the usual loop.

There were quite a few other runners out today, including several couples. My other half is not into running, but she has gone to an exercise class.

I had to focus on just keeping going today. It was nice in the sunshine though. I was going to take a look at the new car chargers by the village hall, but it was really busy around there as all the little kids were arriving at the school. It seems a long time since my kids were there.

The solar panels will soak up a lot of energy today. I put the immersion heater on for a while so we will use less gas. That is something I will look to automate.

Have a great week and run free.

Work completely swamped me last week and weekend I just to sleep and recover. Today is again back to the grind and while I am getting some steps in the focused way I was doing my walking with a bit of a jog has suffered. Need to get back on the wagon quickly :(

In guitar news I am still fighting with F chord :D

Hope you have great learning session!!!

Work does tend to get in the way.

You need that F chord. I used to really struggle with barre chords, but I've had to do them so much for the jazz stuff that my fingers have gained the strength for them and now it's no problem.

I'm not totally sure what will be covered tonight as he keeps it a little secret, but I've heard good things.

I never knew you had a swing band. I was always thinking that you usually drum alone
I’m sure they played well
