Morning Run: Post storm

steevc just finished a 7.24km run, that lasted for 42 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 528.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I did not run yesterday. That was partly due to horrible weather when I woke up, but then we were out for the rest of the day. There were some spectacular lightning storms around the country and we got caught in a downpour.

I heard it raining more last light, but it was not too bad this morning. It was still a bit dark as I headed out, but not really raining. There were some big puddles around. I did my old route out to Stotfold along the Pendleton Way cycle track. I saw a couple of ladies out running there and a few cyclists, but the kids are off school this week.

I had no real plan, but tried to keep up a decent pace. I was feeling fairly good. A day off between runs does help, but then I want to do four runs in a week, so that is not always possible.

The fallen leaves are getting thick on the ground now. That can make it slippery. I did have a slight skid, but I think that was more due to some mud. I stayed upright anyway.

Have a great week and run free.

A tree had fallen on the van i have from work during the night, no damage but it'll need a clean! I'm not sure when they'll take the van back though.

Oops. I actually ran past your place this morning, but didn't notice any fallen trees. It was quite a storm.

We had the storm in Portsmouth and some of the way home yesterday. Seems it hit around here too. Blue skies now.

My wife is still fighting her ear infection, but I bit the bullet and got up at 4:25 this morning to exercise. I kept it kind of light, but it felt good to be back at it. I'm travelling later this week, but I am hoping I can do some YouTube routines in my hotel room to keep active. Or I can just head to the hotel gym, but I'm not sure I want to go out in public like that! Nice job on your run!

That's too early for me. I have been known to do some workouts in hotel rooms. There isn't always a gym. When I was on my cruise I didn't use the gym at all, but then I did some running on deck.

Wishing Mrs Bozz a speedy recovery.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I think she is over the worst of it, but she still isn't quite 100%. I remember I worked out in the hotel room at the place I am going last year. They have wonderful grounds too, I might just go for a walk if it isn't too cold.

The hardest part of running is getting out of bed and out the door. If you do that you are winning.

Exactly 😊 and this sometimes takes more determinations to do even if one has the passion to do that.. sometimes our body just deprive us of it and we got no choice..

The mind, when the mind is in charge then it controls the body

It sets me up for breakfast and compensates for the cookie I had later.

I've been doing the same thing on my cheats. Each time I cheat = more time on the treadmill. Doing terrible this month though, lots of time on the treadmill 🤣 We'll see what happens at the end of the week 🤣

Dear @steevc,
Your support for the current Hive Authentication Services proposal (#194) is much appreciated but it will expire in a few days!
May I ask you to review and support the new proposal (https://peakd.com/me/proposals/240) so I can continue to improve and maintain this service?
You can support the new proposal (#240) on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.

Thank you!

Hi Steevc, with using Hive to earn from your activities you'd refer to Actifit and Exhaust? I'm actually looking to getting more out of my Actifit account. Do you have more tips? Also about other projects to earn more from my activities? !BBH

I don't use Actifit and Exhaust is just a way to get Strava activities onto Hive. The main thing is to build a following. I am more interested in human interaction than automated replies and that tends to reward me better. I have always been very active in commenting and that helped me a lot.

I'm trying to answer as well on each comment when I think to add something to the conversation and I start very often commenting on people's posts. Still I'm not convinced that after a year doing this, it's worth my time... Anyway, I'll try something extra now: Since I'm bot trading by coincidence my bot has been buying Hive when it was quite high, I've been investing some extra to be able to sell in DCA, but it kept on dropping. So it's stuck there for a while now. I'd like to transfer it here for the time being and see what the effect will be on my activities on the Hive Blockchain... The big inconvenience is that the last 4 days, it doens't seem to be possible to withdraw Hive from Binance. :-( !LUV

Judging if Hive is worth your time is tricky. It depends on what you expect from it. My hourly rate is not great, but it's fun and I think it will get bigger. I've made a lot of friends here.

That's a good point of view indeed. I like as well to share some !BEER and !PIZZA with the people around here. But still I'm using time for this that I actually don't have and that could be used better both for my mental and physical health...

We all have to use our time in the best way. I try not to think of Hive as work. Do what is fun.
