steevc just finished a 11.89km run, that lasted for 73 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 864.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
I did not stay up watching the Eurovision Song Contest. It is not my thing and I do not think music is about competition. I was tired anyway. I got up intent on doing a run.

The weather was good today again. All dry and not too warm. I just did my regular loop and an easy pace to stretch my legs.

I was struck my this swathe of dandelions up at Fairfield. I try to remove a lot of the seed heads in my garden to slow them down a bit, but these are taking over. Did anyone do 'dandelion clocks' as a kid? You blew the seeds off counting up the hours. Not the most accurate measure of time and it was helping nature along. We are letting our lawn grow to help the wildlife, but it needs a bit of control.

I headed on to Stotfold and took the long way around. I did not see too many runners this time, but a few were out.

Coming back through Arlesey the workmen were busy laying the new road surface. I would hope they could fully open the road soon as that will ease the traffic congestion. There were lots of trucks of tarmac parked up there as I jogged down the middle of the closed road.

I have band practice after lunch, so I need to get my chores done. The chickens need cleaning out and we have plants to put in the garden.

Run free!

They do get referred to as clocks by various people. Just one of those cultural things. I have picked hundreds of them off to get less seeds, but you can never totally win. Apparently some birds eat the seeds, but I've not seen any do that in the garden.

(Edited)

They're hard to keep on top of..
I would think insects like them though.. after the winter months they need lots of food to get started I should think.

Setting off shortly. See you soon.

I took some Vitamin D over the winter, but just eat normally (with no meat). I don't run every day.

I have to say here that one should leave on time at six in the morning because then the wind is very good and there is no sun. Man can running more than routine.
