steevc just finished a 11.82km run, that lasted for 72 minutes.
This run helped steevc burn 892.0 calories.

Description from Strava:
We were out at a comedy gig last night. It was very warm in the venue and will get hotter today. I had not been sleeping great during the week, but my body decided to have a lie-in today. I had to hoped to get out for my run by 8am, but it was more like 9. By then it was 20C. I was timekeeping at parkrun yesterday and I felt for the runners as they sweated around the course. At least it has some shade.

I did my Sunday loop today. I was a few runners out there and a couple of people I know, but it was fairly quiet. I was not going for speed at all as my hip is still playing up. I am seeing a physio this week about it.

I went around Fairfield and then the long way around Stotfold. I was looking for shade as the sweat was dripping into my eyes. The photo is of some sculptures in the new Stotfold estate. They have plaques about the local history, geology and nature with carved images to match.

It was not an easy run today, but I just tried to keep going. I averaged 6min/km, which is not too bad really. The temperature had risen to 24.5C by the time I got back and I was feeling really hot.

I had a late breakfast of granola and strawberries before my shower. I need to clean out the chickens and then I am off for a band rehearsal after lunch. I hope the air conditioning is working at the hall.

I was in our pool yesterday and may be today as well. It is not heated and so feels cold when you first get in, but I soon adapt and it is nice to have a swim.

Stay cool and run free.

Hey bro... I've been running your blogs and I notice you calculate the distance you cover, how do you do it

I jog in the morning too and will like to join you in writing about it but I just don't know how to go about it, could you help out?

I use the @strava2hive dapp. I write the post in Strava and the dapp makes a Hive post for me with the stats. My Garmin watch tracks my runs, but you can use a phone.

I had to smile when I heard you talk about your pool not being heated. Ours isn't either, but by July, no one wants to get in it because the water is too warm (warmer than bath water). I know of some people who purchase large amounts of ice to put in their pool during the summer. But I suppose that's what happens when you have days and days over 100 F and you sometimes don't get below 85 F at night.
