Morning run - Sea breeze

I just finished a 6.611km running that lasted about 0hh:34mm:15ss !

A slightly different location today as we were in Portsmouth, so I ran along the front. After a hot day yesterday it turned to rain and it was windy too. It did not rain too much whilst I was out, but there was spray from the sea too. I seemed to clock up some speedy sections on the way out, but when I turned around I realised how strong the tail wind had been. I went inland a bit to reduce the effect. I was surprised to get my second best 5km considering I had not been trying for that, but that can count as my 'not parkrun'.

I saw quite a few other runners out there. It was a very flat route with just a short climb around the castle. Garmin is still having issues, so I logged this directly with the Strava app.

We had a good time during our short stay in Portsmouth. On Friday we did a lot of walking with over 24000 steps. I managed another 21000 today including the run. I was surprised my legs had so much to give today really. I will see if I feel up to a run tomorrow, but will not feel too bad if I skip it.

Breakfast was at The Canteen, which is within the city wall. We were seated in a room with a window overlooking the sea. There were a few people fishing there and lots of boats and ships. We saw a big sailing yacht, ferries, hovercraft and a warship. The food was good. I had a 'veggie stack' with mushrooms, avocado, sausages and more.

Run free and stay well.

You have uploaded 168 running activities, and 55 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 55 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 371.97 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:49 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.18min/km!
Looks like you went a bit faster than usual this time! Nice work!
Have a !BEER for your troubles!

I just bypassed Garmin altogether this time. I see reports that Garmin had some some of hack of their systems. Apparently you can extract files from a watch and upload them to Strava.
