Afternoon Run - Dark, wet, yuck
I just finished a 5.004km running that lasted about 0hh:28mm:18ss !
It has been four days since my last run. I rarely leave it that long, but I was out all morning on Sunday. This morning it was raining and so I waited until after work. I regret it a little as the conditions were not good. The streets around here are not very well lit, full of holes and divided by grass verges. Having it start to really rain whilst I was out made it worse. Wearing glasses adds to the problems as they collect raindrops that scatter the light. So I was running nearly blind at times. I did well not to trip.
Despite all that I was fairly quick at times. It helped that it was not too cold. I did the lap of Church End and decided I could not face going around again. I did want to make it up to at least 5km, so I finished with a lap of my block.
When I got in I was soaked through, but I was only in shorts and t-shirt. Wearing more gear just collects more water. Maybe I need a decent waterproof top. I had one, but it did not really keep me dry.
I am not that down about the run as it was only for a half hour and my performance was good. A quick shower later and I am fine. Dinner will be ready soon and I am hungry.
Run free, take care and stay well.

It was just about 40 degrees the other day so my wife and I took Jovi down to the park to do a little walk. It was a bit damp, but not too bad. I will be happy when we get a nice blanket of snow on the ground that sticks around for a while.
Much too warm for snow here now, but we never know if we will get some each winter. That was my wettest run in a while. Just felt I needed to get out there, but I plan to do lots of running over the Xmas break.

Thanks for continuing to make Hive awesome.
In October I went back to running ... then for other reasons I got a hernia. Now I will have to sit still for 3 months. :(
Well get what exercise you can. Being active counts for a lot, but get well soon.
thanks @steevc for your kind words. I am waiting for them to call me for surgery, then I will resume my physical activity.
