Morning Run: King of the hill

I just finished a 5.352km running that lasted about 0hh:31mm:2ss !

Another chilly morning around freezing. I have a long sleeve top that is nice and warm plus I wore gloves. There was some frost on the grass as I took the chicken food out. There are rats tunnelling under the run and I want to reduce what they can get. We also have some in the shed where they managed to tunnel through a concrete floor! There was a huge pile of earth and rubble in there. These are tough rats.

I was doing my hill sprints again today. That ensures I maintain my 'local legend' status on Strava as I do a segment five times. I very nearly managed to do them all under 5min/km, but I was slighly slow on the first one. The sprint is between the first speed hump and the end of the road, but when I arrive there I tend to start the first one early, so I was tiring by the top. I am still happy with the workout. I need to push myself if I want to improve.

I have some new shoes on order, but I will report on those once I have tried them out.

Run free and stay well.

Nice job on your run. I think my wife ordered me some new shoes the other day too. I have about five traps set out in our shed just to be safe. I checked them yesterday and there were none in them. I have pulled about seven from the traps in our attic already this year though. I hate mice.

We have traps and poison for the rats. They can still do some damage though. At least they are not in the house.

I said it once and I say it again, pretty good pace for running outdoors man!

Cheers. I know others are quicker, but I am happy enough with how I do. I could not have done this a few years ago. I don't care what people think of this old guy out running :)

To be honest, the pace is great and most people my age (30s) can't reach that, so kudos man.

I got inspired by this post, I told myself to get up and run. I ran to the end of my yard, and then I stopped turned around and had a cramp for about a week.
😄
Keep health and Fit. God bless you dear @steevc

Maybe keep trying that for a while then try to go further when you can. The first time I tried running a few years back I went around the block and then was panting for an hour. It gets better.
