Morning Run: Holidays on ice

I just finished a 6.898km running that lasted about 0hh:39mm:25ss !

Okay, so it is not a holiday any more. I started work again yesterday after a long break, but it was pretty frosty out there today. We have seen big swings in temperature lately. My back is still not 100%, so I took it fairly steady today.

I went up the hill to Fairfield for a clockwise loop. I was not going all out, but I tried to keep the pace up a bit. After the long climb is drops down for a bit, but the paths were fairly icy there. I managed to not slip. I did have to stop a while to cross the road as so many cars were coming out, but eventually someone let me go. The last climb on the back straight can be tough, but I just kept on pushing. I want to build the strength to cope better with hills this year.

Coming all the way back down was nice as I could stretch out a bit. After a while I barely feel the cold, but I did keep my gloves on.

I saw my friend Jon again. He takes his kids to school each morning just up the road.

Whilst having my morning coffee I noticed a load of birds on the aerial of the house across the road. I grabbed my camera and caught them on full zoom. That cheap Fujifilm bridge camera takes some nice shots. There were at least nine starlings on the aerial and chimney.

Run free and stay well.

Almost seven kilometers in a morning! That's good. It must help you to build a cholesterol free body. Anyway, I am being fatty day by day. So I have decided to walk in morning and start a heavy diet from today after consulting a specialist. Thanks.

It works up an appetite for breakfast. Any exercise should be good, but take advice if you are unsure.

Back to work - boooooooo

Lol.
We have had some big swings in temperature as well. Last week the weather was great. Warm really. Quite cold today though and frosty. On the plus side, the sun is out lol. I haven't seen the sun in a while now.

It was sunny today, but still cold. On new year's eve we were out all evening without coats. Looks like it will be changeable for a while yet.

A cool 6 mph pace and a decent hill climb and decent. Neat app/website

Nice job on your run. I opted to stay in bed yesterday, but this morning I got up and did my upper body workout. I think I need to start investigating some yoga to make keep me flexible though.

I could probably be more flexible. I'm just a bit lazy when it comes to actually going to organised fitness classes.

Oh, yeah, I'd do it at home via video. No question.

I used to do some yoga with the Wii Fit. Maybe I should get it out again

It's good for you that you ran about 7km. It will keep your body fit. I walk about 2.5km everyday. It keeps the health better and refreshes mind also.
