CFC Specials - David Washington signs and hope he stays with the team
Chelsea always wanted a versatile player either in attack or defence and the signature of David Washington was no different, a player who can play in all the front rolls. I know Chelsea might want to send him on loan to a Premier League side this season but I still believe we should use this season to experiment with the young squad and then try to qualify for either Europa League or Champions League.
The match against Luton today comes too soon for David Washington and might not even play for Chelsea this season but without a doubt, Chelsea will control both possession and space. The main uncertainty is whether they would still be able to overcome Luton's defence without Chukwuemeka's movement and player connections.
Despite operating mostly as a striker, Washington is capable of playing anywhere along the line in the final third as said earlier. He completed his transfer earlier today, and the Brazilian is now the newest member of our summer team.
