Championships Duatlon: March 8 2026
Great weather for the duatlon Balearic championships, just like two weeks ago and completely different compared to the bad weather yesterday...
Great competition with controlled pace (3'55"/km) at the first 5km running. After a rather slow start I've found a companion for the @cycling, even though I can't really call him a companion cause he did all the work for the rest of the 20km, also for the other 2-3 athletes who've joined us. I don't know how I would have been able to ride 32,6km/h without this guy...
The last part was a 2,5km run over 2 laps ending with the same climb as I had been running already 4x at the beginning of the competition but somehow it felt a bit tougher lol.
Still 3'46"/km made me feel really satisfied, moreover this was the 45th fastest time at the 170 participants and it brought me to the 88th place. I don't think that's bad for an almost 47 year old not doing any cycling during the winter...
