RE: Spurs Hammering Woolwich Have 4th place Down to Last Game

Being greedy, it would have been nice to put a couple more past them. That period before half-time, I though we might win by 4 or 5.

Still good fun to ole the Gooners with 30mins still to play and the cherry of the top was undoubtedly Arteta's post-match interview where he came across much in the same way as his team did for most of the match - amateurish!

I mean he's complaining about the Holding red card and the penalty. If they do qualify for the Champions League, then in Europe Holding would have been sent off for those first 2 cheap shots he took at Son and the elbow in the face would have been a straight red. Probably best they just give it a miss and let the grown-ups qualify.

Anyway, I guess they'll need to ask for the Newcastle game to be postponed until they can get their players back and free from suspension. That worked well didn't it? I mean Son wasn't even fit for the original date.

I always felt the old Lane had a special atmosphere for mid-week games and it seems to have been transferred over to the new stadium. Absolutely best atmosphere this season.

It was a great old night. A friends of mine was behind the dugouts and he was saying Arteta was onto the fourth official the whole match just complaining. I think Conte mentioned it in the presser.

I haven't actually watched the Conte interview. It was past my bedtime and Theo Walcott was boring me to sleep! I'll go check it out now on youtube

Oh really, then what Conte said after the game looks really trite.
I think that's the new Arteta, perhaps gradually growing in confidence. He also said after the match, that he won't say anything about the match, if not he would be banned. Reminds me of that Mourinho at a time in England.

This comment by Arteta,is a sly way of making a comment. At least the ref knows Arteta is not happy, that's some pressure on him; so it's a comment with no comment.

That's a far departure from the meek, tame, gentlemanly Arteta. In this league you have to have some presence as a coach, some "nuisance value" if you like and this is Arteta beginning to come of age as far as the Arsenal faithfuls are concerned.

Cheers
