RE: Manchester United | Welcome Tyrell Malacia

A massive deal like de Jong is always going to take a bit longer and with United getting a new manager you guys were a little slower out the blocks but it is still only July! Football fans aren’t know for their patience.

Shame that Spurs didn’t really pursue Eriksen. In some ways I’d say it’s easy to have your judgment clouded by the nostalgia of him coming back so I’m not that disappointed but he definitely would add something different to the midfield. The worst thing though is gonna being watching him wear a United kit! I might just listen to any United games on the radio this season! 😀

On de Jong, I believe so. But you want to see deals get done faster, at least for a bit of hope for next season. Eriksen, on the other hand, I don't know why we are in for him in the first place. Isn't it too much of a risk? Would you want him on your team even with his health issues?

I’d be happy to have him at Spurs. I don’t think he’d be a starter for us (probably not for you either, he’ll be back up for Fernandez) but he’d give us something different than our current options. Problem is I can’t see him being effective in a 2 man midfield. When Conte had him at Inter he played in a 3 but since we’ve signed Bisumma, Conte has stated he is happy with the midfield suggesting he’ll stick to a 2 for next season.

I thought so too. I don't see how he unseats Fernandez but if he suits ten Hags play style better, we might see more of him. Come to think of it, we have Europa League next season, and giving Bruno some much needed rest could be massive for us. The guy practically plays every game. That said, what will be Van de Beek's role next season??
