My new tattoo stands for... (conception) // Mein neues Tattoo steht für... (Konzeption)

Today was the day - I got a new tattoo. Since I already have others, the excitement was limited. There are people who look at purely aesthetic aspects when choosing, such as a mandala. For me, on the other hand, the meaning is always very important - of course the tattoo should also look beautiful. I chose a lighthouse to represent the love of my grandmother. Emotionally, my parents could never fulfil this part. So my grandma's love has been my light in the dark. Since my grandma passed away some years ago, I wanted to personalise the tattoo a little by adding her year of birth. The trick: the years should be written in her handwriting. Luckily I still had a few old cards from which I could form the year from the date and postcode, for example. The conception for my tattooist was as follows. I will present the result when the tattoo has healed.

Heute war er es soweit - ich habe mir ein neues Tattoo stechen lassen. Da ich schon weitere habe, hielt sich die Aufregung in Grenzen. Es gibt Leute, die bei der Auswahl auf rein ästhetische Gesichtspunkte achten, wie z.B. ein Mandala. Mir hingegen ist die Bedeutung immer sehr wichtig - natürlich soll das Tattoo auch schön aussehen. Bei der Motivwahl habe mich für einen Leuchtturm entschieden, der die Liebe meiner Oma darstellen soll. Emotional gesehen konnten meine Eltern diesen Part nie erfüllen. Die Liebe meiner Oma ist also mein Licht im Dunkeln gewesen. Da meine Oma schon seit einigen Jahren verstorben ist, wollte ich das Tattoo durch ihr Geburtsjahr noch ein wenig personalisieren. Der Clou dabei: die Jahreszahlen sollten mit ihrer Handschrift geschrieben sein. Zum Glück hatte ich noch ein paar alte Karten, aus denen ich z.B. aus Datum und Postleitzahl die Jahreszahl formen konnten. Die Konzeption an meine Tattoowiererin sah wie folgt aus. Das Ergebnis präsentiere ich, wenn das Tattoo verheilt ist.
