Back to the mountains

Finally I took an early Christmas vacation, I still had a few days left to spend in my work hours bag so I didn't think much about it since the children also have vacations from today until the second week of January.
Without thinking about it too much I wanted to celebrate it by escaping to the nearby mountains to go for a run.
The day is wonderful in terms of weather, a little windy but very pleasant in terms of temperature, also, I have not met many people where I have gone, some mountaineering here and there but hardly anyone.
I have started by a forest track that has taken me to the top of the mountain quickly, from there it has been a spectacle to contemplate the horizon and the big city at my feet.

Afterwards, the route passed through narrow, very technical trails but with a comfortable drop, the typical toboggan trail where you can go very fast and where the sensations of speed are high, although, to tell you the truth, I didn't want to go very fast and I have stopped every so often to enjoy nature and also to make sure that the dog did not get lost following some rabbit trail, also, my ankles are not used to this type of terrain.

It had been a long time since I had visited it.
In the end, it has been a good 7 km run, quite technical, where my heart has been continuously changing its frequency and adapting to the demand for energy required.

Trail running is very different from regular running on a flat surface and provides a higher level of strength which is very good for strengthening many muscles that do not participate as much in normal running.
