Not even the seagulls dare to show their wings...
It may be the most extreme summer I remember.
Those who know me know that I am used to training under warm conditions. Most of my workouts on working days are always at noon, since I take advantage of the fact that I have an athletics club, of which I am a member, very close to my office.
I have been doing it for more than 11 years and I can assure you that I have done very hard training under the sun, but the temperatures that we are suffering lately are much higher than in previous summers and I am already old enough to know when it is not healthy lengthen the training more than necessary.
So, I've been happy running 5km in progression in just under 24 minutes...
It wasn't an agonizing run at all but let's just say I sweated more trying to cool down myself than trying to run fast...really, it's not worth the risk.
Halfway I stopped to take a panoramic photograph of the port of Barcelona, from afar... it is very surprising to see the clear horizon.
There isn't even a thin cloud...and what's even more strange, there isn't a single seagull either, which is rare but not that rare considering how hot it is...surely all of them are either in the shade from a palm tree or swimming in the sea...
