Hive World Cup 2026 on Kicktipp – Looking for Players & Sponsors 🌍🏆

Hive World Cup 2026 - join us

After several Bundesliga tipping seasons on Kicktipp, I am thinking about organizing a traditional FIFA World Cup 2026 prediction game for the Hive community.

This would run in parallel to other awesome football projects already existing on Hive and is NOT meant as competition to them. Ideally people simply enjoy both 🙂

⚽ What is this?

A classic football prediction game hosted on Kicktipp:
👉 predict World Cup match results
👉 climb the leaderboard
👉 answer a few bonus questions
👉 compete with the Hive football community

Gladly some already joined:

🏆 How does scoring work?

Points are awarded automatically by Kicktipp for:

• exact scores
• correct goal difference
• correct tendency (win/draw/loss)

Additionally there are a few bonus questions:

• Who becomes World Champion?
• Which team produces the tournament top scorer?
• Which teams reach the semi-finals?

These bonus points are automatically added to the overall leaderboard.

🌟 Matchday Winners

Each tournament phase / matchday also has its own ranking and winner automatically handled via Kicktipp.

This keeps the competition interesting throughout the entire World Cup and not only at the end.

💰 Prize Pool & Sponsors

At the moment there is NO finalized prize pool yet.

I do NOT plan to finance the entire tournament prize structure alone this time 🙂
Hence this post is also a call for:

• sponsors
• delegators
• community support
• ideas for fair reward structures

Possible rewards could include:

• overall winner prizes
• top 3 / top 5 rewards
• matchday winner prizes
• random community prizes

Most likely rewards would be paid in:

• HIVE
• HBD
• potentially Hive-engine tokens if sponsors want to contribute such as Medals maybe :-)? @niallon11 @blanchy

🎯 Goal

Simple:
have fun together during the World Cup and build another active Hive football event around the tournament.
