It's never too late to start walking again, but I had been inactive for over a month and had to start slowly, first for a few minutes and then gradually increasing the pace. The key is to make walking an enjoyable part of your routine. This is one of the easiest activities to do, and all I need is a thermos of water, clothes, and special shoes. The important thing is to wear comfortable clothes. It has been scientifically proven that walking has health benefits, improves cardiovascular capacity, and helps you lose weight by reducing body fat.

A few days ago, he went to the doctor, specifically the cardiologist, at the Ministry of Education's Health Insurance Institute, near the Gran Mariscal residential center. After reviewing the results of some tests he had me take, including those related to cardiovascular stress and an electrocardiogram, he told me that I had a sedentary heart, a lack of exercise, and that my routine at home could not continue like this, for which he recommended that I start walking for at least half an hour every day. On Perimetral Avenue, now called Cacique Maraguey, there is a space for taking the walks recommended by the specialist.

I started this routine immediately, as shown in the photograph. I am very happy about my health, and I hope to continue with the same enthusiasm and be able to go on these walks regularly, although not in this place, but in other places that are just as pleasant. I continue one day at a time, with God's help and with great faith.

Nunca es tarde para volver a caminar, pero tenía más de un mes inactiva y tuve que empezar lentamente, primero fueron unos minutos y poco a poco aumenté el ritmo. En días pasados fue al médico, específicamente al cardiólogo, en las instalaciones del Instituto de Previsión Asistencial del Ministerio de Educación, cerca al centro residencial Gran Mariscal. Luego de revisar los resultados de unas valoraciones que me indicó realizarme, entre ellas las que tienen que ver con la tensión cardiovascular y el electrocardiograma, me dijo que tenía el corazón sedentario, la falta de ejercicios, y la rutina en el hogar no podía seguir así para lo cual me recomendó iniciar caminatas de por lo menos media hora diarias. En la avenida Perimetral, actualmente llamada Cacique Maraguey, existe un espacio para realizar las caminatas que indicó el especialista.

Inicié esta rutina inmediatamente, tal como se muestra en la fotografía. Estoy muy contenta por mi salud, espero continuar con el mismo entusiasmo y pueda realizar estas caminatas de forma regular, si bien no por este lugar, por otros que sean igual de agradables. Continúo un día a la vez, de la mano de Dios y con mucha fe.
