Despite having retired in 2013, A.I. is still getting paid yearly by Reebok; thanks to a lifetime contract. CEO says "He is worth every penny."

Timeless Hustle...

Iverson was always my favorite player growing up. I wanted all of his shoes and jerseys in my wardrobe. I remember the stigma that Nike was cool and Reebok was lame. I didn’t care, that’s how much of my respect Iverson had earned.

Reebok is totally right when they say "Bringing the Answer to an event or using him in an ad is still largely beneficial.

Young adults and middle-aged men can remember watching this ankle-breaking, fade-away sinking, gangsta-talk hustla live on endless occasions.

If you didn't watch players ask the questions on the court, then you wouldn't get to witness the answer.
This guy was absolutely unpredictable.
Imagine having a dude who is barely six foot.
Who is faster than anybody you have ever seen in your life.
He makes nearly every shot he shoots and looks you dead in the eye right after the swish.
Dude is tatted up from head to toe.
He no look passes to open teammates.
Every team constantly double-teamed this man.
You won't even smell his scent before he has already pick-pocketed you and went to your hoop for a springing dunk!
Did I mention he has handles that will leave your ankles in a warm bread basket waiting on your dinner table at 6pm on a Thursday evening.

In my mind Iverson is the most enjoyable and mind-blowing player ever.

Allen signed a lifetime contract with Reebok back in the day. When he turns 55 he will begin to earn even more on top of the 800k/year.

Thats a deal and a half lol good on him. Word legend gets thrown around all the time now but it should be reserved for players like him

He made over $150 million from nba contracts alone, yet still managed to have financial troubles at some point. That’s what bad choices such as marriage will do to ya.

Are you saying Iverson is or is NOT a legend?

Legend. A genuine Legend. Unlike nowadays one good season some just a few good games and they say they are legends they have just disolved the word. Him for me is on the next level just below the likes of Jordan,LeBron, but defo a legend

Ok I was just making sure. Thank goodness that is what you meant. Iverson is unforgettable. I will never forget the time I was lucky enough to see him and the 76ers in Cleveland against LeBron. It’s the only NBA game I’ve ever been to. Honestly I’d be satisfied if I never went to another, that is how much going to that game meant to me.

#lonewolf. I feel similar to you about the topic of having a “squad” to have your back.

Money is not for everyone. Especially when you are brought up broke then you have everything and everyone is your friend. Speaking from personal experience nothing to do with crypto real paper money i made from owning a bed factory(younger days) Did really well had more girlfriends than days in the week spun 1m in casinos in a year, spent yhe rest living it up and was dead broke after only recently got back on my feet and im happier now and know what money actually means. This guy your talking crazy money so his head must have been buzzing daily but to keep performing is just awesome massive respect

Very true. The idea of having money is exciting, but once you have it... what’s next. There are way too many options, some positive some negative.

I can’t imagine growing up so poor that I couldn’t afford essentials.. then add in millions on top of that, I’d go hog-wild too I’m sure. Someone that gifted deserves to flex if they want.

I’m sure you know what it’s like to have flocks of people reappear once you were on top of the world.
I foresee something similar happening to me eventually. Literally everyone besides close family and one or two friends have disappeared from my life. Vanished.

Money is the root of all evil. It even turns family members heads never mind random people off the net lol I never judge anyone and always try helping people if I can but have dispelled the illusion that they will help me back in my time of need, I'm on my own lol and I'm cool with that now that I understand humanity a bit more lol

I’m sure I’m too of the Reebok contract he hasn’t other income streams. So most likely well over a Millie... and he’s “retired”.

I always enjoyed watching Allen Iverson too, He was always so cool. I’m a bit older, so before Allen a player who comes to mind I enjoyed who played very similarly was Isiah Thomas. The first time I saw him play live and was astonished was in an AAU Tournament in Huntington WV, not sure of his age then, but it was before he went to Indiana U. He’s 3 years older than me. I can just remember him being super quick, driving and getting through much taller players for layups. Incredible. I will say Allen had the cool factor more so than Isiah. I to am happy that AI has the financial security of a lifetime contract. Very smart negotiating there. I also enjoyed the chat between you and Qam2112. I have often thought it would be nice to have millions, the financial freedom to do what I wanted and help who I wanted. I can definitely see how it could get chaotic very fast though and that would be super stressful.

I'm sure before my time there had to have been some players such as Isiah Thomas who were just as enjoyable to witness. I almost forgot about that story of the AAU tournament you say way back, that's such a cool story.

Yes about the being rich wealthy part, helping others and being free are two who benefits.
