Can You Learn Martial Art At Home By Yourself?

You like martial arts or maybe watch some martial arts movies and you are interested to learn martial arts. Now the first question that can come to your mind is,

Can you learn martial art at home by yourself?

To learn anything, it is you who have to learn it. The most important thing is, how you can learn properly. You can read a book about martial arts. You will get to know different things. It will increase your knowledge. Like you can read about push up. You know how to do it, if you never do it, it is as if you do not know the push up.

Watching videos and reading about martial arts can increase your theoretical knowledge. But you cannot make any move for self defense if you do not practice. Watching videos, you can practice martial arts. But the fact is, you will never know for sure whether you make it right.

Practicing in front of the mirror, you can see yourself and correct the moves, but the thing is, you do not have the foundation since they never learn martial arts. You can read my posts or watch videos, you can learn better if you have the basic foundation of martial arts.

People often ask how they can learn martial arts at home all by themselves. If I say, you can buy something videos or online course, you can buy some equipment like a punching bag, kick bag, and start practicing, it feels better. You can practice in front of the mirror. All these things can help you learn better, that cannot replace learning martial arts from martial art experts.

Saying something nice without expressing the fact can make you feel better now, but later, you realize what it takes to learn martial arts. When you do not know what to know, you cannot move forward.

I highly recommend learning martial arts from martial art experts. When you practice on your own, no one is there to tell you what you are not doing right. Your teacher can see and tell you exactly what you are not doing right and how to make it right. And this is very important.

Here I'm sharing my opinions. You can have a different opinion. Please feel free to express your thoughts in the comment section. Thank you so much for reading this post.

I often say, if you like martial arts and want to learn more about self defense, you can check out some of my recent posts. It can help you to expand your knowledge, but however, it is not the replacement of learning martial arts from martial art experts as a beginner.

Take care. Always be happy!

@rezoanulvibes Hello dear friend. I hope you are having a great day
With all the tools on the web, it is possible to learn martial arts in our home, including exiting home exercises, which can record the training and send a coach to review your techniques. I don't know if this will happen in martial arts, but I don't think it will take long to appear.

Many thanks for all these materials and tips that you share daily
I wish you a prosperous week

Yes, there are some options to record the video and send it to get feedback. That helps. What I see when you learn martial art, you think you are doing something right, but that's not right unless your teacher shows you what you are doing wrong and how to make it correct.

In my experience, I see someone who does not learn martial art, it is easy to teach him martial art. But someone who learn some moves of martial arts and there are some mistakes in his/her moves, it is a little difficult to teach him/her. It is because he/she is used to doing that. You have to change his/her habits and then teach the correct moves. And it takes time compared to someone who does not learn martial art.

You can do exercises watching videos. When you learn martial arts, you use it for self defense or maybe for participating in the fighting competition.

Hope when we use AR and VR in our everyday life, things will be different. Thank you so much @jlufer for taking the time to read this post and giving your feedback.

Martial arts are very good to learn and even more when you are small and you are interested in learning this type of sports that are very useful for the visa also as long as what you learn is always used for defense, I agree that you can learn only a bit of martial arts by yourself, such as reading a book or watching videos, but it is always good to have or pick up someone to teach us and help us improve our skills and movements and thus develop them more at the same time. Greetings and a big hug friend
@rezoanulvibes.

You can learn and increase your knowledge by reading and watching videos. I know there is still a gap. That's why, I recommend learning martial art from martial art experts who can show you different moves and at the same time, correct your mistake in person.

If you have the basic foundation of learning martial art, I think you can learn more by reading and watching videos. I usually share YouTube videos in my post that talks about the similar techniques that I'm talking in my post so that it gets easier to understand.

Thank you very much @gohalber for your feedback. I appreciate that!

A martial instructor can guide you properly to learn martial arts.

If you don't mind, I'd like to say something.
If you want to upvote your own comment, you can, but it is discouraged by the community. If there is a specific reason, that's exceptional. I wish you good luck!
