Are you enjoying my content? In this video I discuss an important part of my posting process.

Would you like for me to send you notifications when my daily post goes live? I have committed to posting every day on #sportstalk, it would be a shame if you missed my blogs and videos.

Staying in the loop

There is not only a lot going on here on Steem, but also a ton happening directly here on SportsTalk.social. This may make it difficult to always see when my blogs/videos are first available. I have developed a means of "manual notifications". Most are aware of being able to tag other users in a post. I however have found the more effective method to alert other users of my work, that is to tag them in the comments. This allows the user to actually get the notification in their replies section. Otherwise you are relying on the fact that the user has some sort of alert system setup such as Steemify.

I have compiled a list of active users on sports talk, however not all enjoy every single sport. I would like to figure out which users keep up with which sports. I don't want to notify a #soccer enthusiast about #basketball. I believe you probably get my point. The only way for me to better alert users is to get to know them more. Figure out what sports they are into and such. Also, there are some users that may not want notifications at all. This is why we must communicate, I am happy to do my best always.

How to better my process

Just leave me comments letting me know your thoughts. If you specifically only want to hear about soccer tell me. If you can't wait to read my #nba posts, let me know. I'm going to continue to tag the same active users in my comments unless they ask me not to. If you wish to be added to my manual alert system tell me, I will happily white list you.

I will be upvoting all comments, so get to chatting my friends.

Leave a comment if you do become a fan and I will give you a 100% upvote in return, plus maybe a follow. If you post some quality content then you may even catch me manually curating and upvoting you more in the future.

Best Regards,

@daltono

You already know man, there is no reason for me to slow down. I’m enjoying creating and most definitely am liking the rewards. I just hope to inspire others to do the same, because anybody can turn on their creative energy. It just requires that initial revolution.

Im pumping out that juice that the whole world needs to sip on! 👽

I would rather not be tagged please unless it's directly a message for me. I've too many notifications on my phone anyway and don't check them out most of the time. I browse content organically and read it if I see something interesting.

Sounds great. See, that’s all I’m asking for. Just for people to let me know if they are intersted. It’s very simple for me to add or remove someone from the white-list.

No worries. And I'm sure to see plenty of your content along the way as well but I am just involved so many places it can be hard to keep track.

I totally understand.
I will continue to post daily, so I know we will cross paths more than a few times more.
I’m just happy you actually took the time to watch this video and reply how I asked. It’s important for me to operate things properly here.

I'm interested in wrestling, WWE, AEW, ROH, NJPW, and the list goes on and on!

I'm thinking about starting a weekly wrestling news update that I can post up to sportstalk, but I have so little time and SO many projects going on!

Something for me to consider.

Wrestling! I used to be a huge fan. I remember seeing Buff Bagwell back in the day. I got to meet Booker T and his brother. This was all wcw vs nwo days.

You should start it up. Commit yourself, it will be worth your time. #sportstalk is really taking off. You got this, I know you can figure out how to get at least one nice blog/video uploaded a week.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to make it happen.

I feel you on the ole Buff Bagwell. I haven't thought of his name in some time!

Yea that was probably 15-20 years ago. WCW came to Charleston, WV and I went with my Dad & Papaw. During Bagwell’s match, his opponent literally ripped his pants down and showed Buff Bagwell’s bare ass to the crowd. I’ll never forget that shit.

Would love to see you start a wrestling focused news update! I used to really enjoy wrestling but lost track along the way. I've caught an AEW PPV recently and enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to getting more caught up on what all has been happening.

I don't mind the tag personally, it draws my attention. My favourite sports are probably not on your radar, but I follow along and pay attention to all sorts.

BTW, do you have a following outside of STEEM? If you do, I'd chuck in some help to bring people on-board - SPORTS token giveaways, upvotes for newcomers etc. (Can't really offer delegations, but maybe down the track)

Also, for your tags, it is only necessary to tag my main account. The @jk6276.sports account is automated and follows my vote, so doesn't need a tag.

Fair enough. I’m glad you don’t mind me sending you alerts, it helps get the conversation going.

Honestly, no. I have zero following outside of Steem. I started here and have just stayed focused on Steem.

Same as me, totally unknown outside of STEEM, was just curious and thinking about ways to bring in new people.

I think our best bet is to just keep talking sports with our irl pals. Gradually starting to mention our articles to them. Then at last bring them in so they can jump in on the conversation.

It’s intimidating form many to just start writing full blogs. However if we can convince them to just hop on and comment, that’s a great start. Especially if we make sure they know comments are also awarded and will help our posts garner more attention.

I enjoy the tags man! I've really enjoyed everything I've seen along the way so keep bringing me in. I really enjoy your basketball posts if you haven't been able to guess! :)

Ok good to hear. I will keep it up. I appreciate your support on my posts, I’ve been busting my ass to get them out daily. I’ll have another Westbrook post up by the morning. I’ll make sure to alert you when it’s up.
